Indy Warrior Partnership (IWP) recently received a generous donation from Hummingbird Charitable Foundation, founded by former Second Lady of the United States, Karen Pence. This donation was part of the foundation's inaugural fundraising luncheon held on March 27, 2025, at the Indiana Roof Ballroom. The event aimed to honor organizations that significantly impact the lives of veterans in Indiana. IWP, a branch of America’s Warrior Partnership, works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for veterans in Central Indiana by connecting them with essential resources such as housing, employment, healthcare, and more. This recognition and support from Hummingbird Charitable Foundation underscores the vital role IWP plays in helping veterans transition to civilian life and thrive in their communities.Â

Ever wondered what $10 could do? It can save the lives of veterans. Donate $10 a month and help us reach veterans before a crisis occurs. Together, we can do better. Our veterans deserve better.
The donation from Hummingbird Charitable Foundation will enable IWP to expand its services and reach even more veterans in need. Karen Pence highlighted the importance of supporting organizations like IWP, which represent the best of what Indiana has to offer its veterans. The funds raised during the luncheon will directly contribute to programs that assist veterans in finding stable housing, securing meaningful employment, and accessing healthcare services. This partnership not only brings financial support but also raises awareness about the challenges veterans face and the resources available to them. The collaboration between IWP and the Hummingbird Charitable Foundation is a testament to the community's commitment to honoring and supporting those who have served our country.Â

In addition to Indy Warrior Partnership, Hummingbird Charitable Foundation also honored Indy Honor Flight and INvets during its inaugural fundraising luncheon. Indy Honor Flight is dedicated to transporting World War II, Korean, and Vietnam wartime veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor, at no cost to them. INvets focuses on facilitating the transition of veterans into civilian life by partnering with over 600 companies in Indiana to provide meaningful employment opportunities. The recognition and donations from Hummingbird Charitable Foundation will significantly bolster the efforts of these organizations, ensuring that more veterans receive the support and resources they need to thrive in Indiana.Â
