Connecting with veterans can sometimes help them resolve issues they didn’t even realize. This was the case for Brian*, an Indy Navy (1995-99) and Reserves (2000-05) veteran.
Last month, Brian looked to Indy Warrior Partnership (IWP) to further connect with his local veteran community. Once Brian reached out to IWP, he spoke with Community Coordinator Abby Pequignot. In conversation, Brian noted that his disability rating was never established. Abby suggested aiding this issue, and Brian humbly agreed. After speaking with Brian, Abby immediately contacted the Indianapolis Director of Veterans Services and found out which VSO serves Brian’s area.
Abby was able to connect Brian with the VSO to start the disability rating process. IWP will continue to keep in contact with Brian through this process and to further build a relationship with him as a local veteran in our community. IWP is proud to support veterans like Brian in any way we can.
